Jacqueline A. Kniskern

January 4, 1946 — October 5, 2022

Warnerville- Jacqueline A. Kniskern, 76, of Court St., died suddenly on October 5, 2022, at Cobleskill Regional Hospital following a brief decline in health.

Born January 4, 1946, in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Donald P. and Josephine I. (Markulics) Mertz.

Jackie was a cashier at McDonald’s in Cobleskill for several years prior to retiring. She was a member of the former Hyndsville United Methodist Church and currently a member of the Christian Community Church of Faith in Richmondville. Spending time with family, particularly her granddaughters, brought her the most pleasure in life.

Forever cherishing their memories are her husband, Myron E. Kniskern, whom she married November 25,1966; her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Robert Haney of Niskayuna; two granddaughters: Emilee and Katherine Haney; and her sister, Susan Krein of Nazarath, PA. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Mertz of Rotterdam, NY.

Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held from 12PM to 2PM on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2PM with Rev. David Houck of the Christian Community Church of Faith officiating. Cremation will follow the service with a private inurnment in Seward Valley Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Community Church of Faith, PO Box 93, Richmondville, NY 12149.

The family does request that all attendees wear a face mask.
