Richmondville- J. Henry Brooker, 75, of Palmer Road, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Born June 19, 1937 in Cobleskill, he was the son of Howard and Leola (Dauley) Brooker.
J. Henry was a lifelong area resident who was a self employed carpenter/mason for many years. He was a member of the Richmondville United Methodist Church and the Richmondville Youth Organization.
J. Henry found pleasure in spending time with his family and coaching.
He was predeceased by his parents and several siblings.
Survivors include his wife: Yvonne Brooker of Richmondville; three children: Tammy (Justin) Karker of East Durham, Melody (Mark) Palange of Pompton Lakes, NJ, and Brian Brooker of Queens; three grandchildren: Devon Karker, Joshua and Noah Palange; three siblings: Eva Dibble of Summit, Franklin Brooker of Davenport, and William Wilson of Warren, MI; and several nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Richmondville United Methodist Church, Main St., Richmondville. Family and friends are also invited to attend a period of visitation to be held at the church prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be private.
