Irene Rivenburg

MIDDLEBURGH- Mrs. Irene J. Rivenburg, 84, formerly of Cotton Hill Road, died Saturday, August 2, 2008 at The Pines in Catskill, NY where she had been a resident for the past year.
Mrs. Rivenburg was born April 11, 1924 in Gilboa, the daughter of Sellick P. and Inez L. (Reed) Mace.
She was a 1941 graduate of Gilboa High School and resided in Middleburgh since 1961. Mrs. Rivenburg was a caregiver for the family of Dr. Wesley and Bea Andrew, as well as a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband, Karl L. Rivenburg, Sr., who died August 26, 1995.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Rose (Marvin) Cain of Livingstonville, Lois (Ron) Buzon of Saugerties, and Debby (Frank) Schafroth of Middleburgh; her son, Karl L. (Kathy) Rivenburg, Jr. of Middleburgh, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh. Burial will follow in Middleburgh Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
