Ida Lobdell

Middleburgh-Ida M. Lobdell, 96, of Railroad Ave., died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

Born June 28, 1915 in Summit, she was the daughter of Delonue and Julia (Chandler) Rifenbark.

Ida was a lifelong area resident and was a seamstress at the former Canajoharie Dress Factory.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in West Middleburgh. Ida had also served as a volunteer at the food bank located at the Middleburgh Reformed Church

She was a member of TOPS and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Ida was predeceased by her first husband, Leslie Goodsill and her second husband, Franklin Lobdell.

Survivors include her two sons: Leslie Goodsill of Middleburgh and Raymond Goodsill of Tribes Hill; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of family and burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ida's memory your local food bank.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh and Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
