Howard Strauss

Cobleskill- Howard S. Strauss, 72, of Prospect Street, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 29 2007 at his residence.
Mr. Strauss was born October 19, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Herman and Rebecca (Shaket) Strauss.
Mr. Strauss had retired in 2001 from Schoharie County ARC Toe Path Industries as a marketing manager. Most recently he was an accountant at his wife's firm, Judy M. Strauss DBA H & R Block in Cobleskill.
Mr. Strauss was a member and current treasurer of Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #2040 in Cobleskill and also the Association of Rehabilitation Marketing.
He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Strauss.
Survivors include his wife, Judy M. Strauss, whom he married January 4, 1981; a daughter, Rebecca Strauss of Monterey Bay, CA; 2 sons, Richard (Eve) Strauss of New Jersey and Alan (Lisa) Hartstein of Florida; his sister, Beverly Collura of West Palm Beach, FL, and a brother, Melvin Strauss of Sayerville, NJ.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, Nov. 2, at the B.P.O.E. Lodge 2040 Legion Drive Cobleskill. Friends may call from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the lodge prior to the service.
