Howard Kutzscher

Gilboa- Howard Hugo Kutzscher, 80, of Mace Road, died Tuesday, May 30, 3006 at his residence following a brief illness.
Mr. Kutzscher was born June 2, 1925 in New York City, the son of Hugo A. and Emma (Craft) Kutzscher.
Mr. Kutzscher retired as a first class machinist from General Electric in Schenectady. Prior to that, he was employed for 28 years at Ruf Machine Company.
He was a member of the Gilboa Historical Society and the Bates Church of Bates Hollow. Mr. Kutzscher did volunteer work for the Broome Center Chapel and the Gilboa Historical Society. He was an avid cat person and a friend of nature. He was a collector of Cairn Gnomes and Department 56 Christmas Villages with an annual display of the Village. Howard was an ardent Civil War buff, visiting many sites of battles fought during that period.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Brown) Kutzscher, whom he married June 7, 1958; a daughter- Gloria Kutzscher of Schoharie; a son, Kevin (Ardyth Kniskern) Kutzscher of Sharon Springs; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Kutzscher of Cambridge, MA, and Courtney Kutzscher of Sharon Springs; 2 nieces, Doreen Brunetti of St. Petersburg, FL, and Laura Bosnjak of Flushing, NY; and a nephew, Michael Turi of Oviedo, FL.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 3, at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh, NY, with Rv. Paul Buhrke officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, prior to the service. Burial will be private.
