Homer Castro, 67, of Cobleskill, New York passed away on March 13, 2025, after prolonged health issues.
Homer was born April 11, 1957, to Domingo and Dolores Castro in Corona, NY. After moving with the family in 1968, Homer graduated from Cobleskill High School in 1975. Upon graduating he received training on imported Honda automotives and worked at Mohawk Honda. He then worked for Depaula Chevrolet, before finishing his automotive career specializing on transmissions at Buffo-Matic transmission in Carlisle, NY. Later in his life he worked for Apollo Amusement, delivering and servicing arcades, jukeboxes, and pool tables.
Homer is survived by his wife, Nadine Castro; son, Jacob Castro; grandson, Evan Castro; sister, Nancy Castro; brother, Ralph Castro; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He enjoyed time with family including taking trips up north to Old Forge, or to Oneida Lake.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
