Helen White

Cobleskill- Helen M. White, 98, of Elm Street, died Friday, October 18, 2013, at St. Ann's Home in Rochester following a brief illness.

Born January 17, 1915 in Yonkers, she was the daughter of Walter and Helen E. (Risk) Wisnieff.

Helen had lived in Cobleskill many years and was a decorator and salesperson for Scholet Furniture. She was a longtime member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cobleskill.

She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Robert White who died June 21, 1969.

Survivors include her children: Roberta Kaye (Robert Elkins) of Granite Falls, NC and Lawrence (Karen) White of Johnstown; four grandchildren: Matthew White and Nathan White, Allan Howard Chapman, and Kimberly Carlson; and seven great-grandchildren: Haley, Carly and James Chapman, Owen and Trevor Carlson, and Emily and Zach White.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 25,2013 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main St., Cobleskill with Rev. Jonathan Litzner officiating. A reception will follow in the church social hall. Burial will be private in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
