Sharon Springs- Helen M. Rullman, 99, of Engleville Road, died Saturday, January 18, 2020 at home under the loving care of her family and Helios.
Born December 5, 1920 in Freeport, NY, she was the daughter of Carmine and Josephine (Vertucci) Barbato. Raised on Long Island, Helen was a cashier for Baldwin Senior High School for many years. She was the last of eleven children.
She was a pillar of her community, giving of herself to help the sick and the poor. Helen was an extraordinary woman, volunteering also in her church community, most recently St. Vincent de Paul Church of Cobleskill. She was an amazing grandmother and treasured her time spent with family.
Holding dear to her memories are her daughters: Diana (Stanley) Kutinsky of Sharon Springs and Nancy (Michael) Krummenacker of Baldwin, Long Island; 12 grandchildren: Paul, Alyson, Adam, Alex and Laura Kutinsky, Kristine and Michael Krummenacker, Cheryl, Jackie, Dawn, Michael and Terri Rullman; and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Henry Lester Rullman II; 2 sons: Henry Lester Rullman III and Robert Rullman; and her grandson, Scott Krummenacker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill, where a period of visitation will be held from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Spring interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Worcester, NY.
