Harriett Conklin

Cobleskill- Mrs. Harriett Conklin, 92, of Early Woodland Apartments, died Saturday, November 18, 2006, at her daughter's residence in Maryland, NY
Mrs. Conklin was born March 28, 1914, in Cherry Valley, NY, the daughter of Cornelius and Ella (Palmer) Mahar.
She was baptized Catholic, however, she attended the Hyndsville United Methodist Church while growing up. She attended the one room school house in Hyndsville and then Cobleskill Central School. Mrs. Conklin assisted at the dinners that were held at the Mineral Springs United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Amethyst Unit of Hospital Auxiliary.
Mrs. Conklin retired from J.J. Newberry's in Cobleskill, where she had been a store clerk from 1951 to 1976.
She was predeceased by er first husband, Minard Swart, her second husband, Stanley Conklin, a son, Gary M. Swart, Sr., as well as her siblings, Marjorie, Kathleen, John, Douglas, Francis, and Robert Mahar.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Bouboulis of Maryland, NY, 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held at the family's convenience.
