Cobleskill- Mr. Giuseppe, "Joseph" Galli, 66, of Hill Road, died Friday, June 23, 2006, after being stricken at his residence.
He was born July 31, 1939 in Valmozzola Parma Italy, the son of Severino and Linda (Alzapiedi) Galli.
Mr. Galli was a self employed carpenter and retired from Pleasantville High School, where he worked maintenance. He and his family moved to this area 22 years ago from Westchester County.
He was predeceased by a son, Maurice Galli, who died in 1973.
Survivors include his wife, Angela (Palomero) Galli; a daughter, Laura Seifert of Cobleskill; 2 sons: Michael Galli and Joseph Galli, Jr. both of Cobleskill; 3 sisters: Pierina Musa of Peekskill, Rina Levanti and Germa Cardinali, both of Italy; 3 brothers: Mario Galli of Hawthorne, John Galli of Thornwood, and Ceasere Galli of Italy; and 3 grandchildren.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, June 27, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm St. Cobleskill with Sister Connie James officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4PM an 6 to 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1:00 PM on Tues. at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Hawthorne, NY.
