Richmondville- Gilberta "Butch" Warner, 75, of Court St., died unexpectedly on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital after being stricken at home.
Born November 22, 1940 in Seward, she was the daughter of Ray and Bessie (Diamond) Proctor.
A lifelong area resident, Gilberta worked as a laborer for many years on a local dairy farm and later was a laundry attendant at the former Eden Park Nursing Home in Cobleskill.
She enjoyed knitting and loved her cats.
Gilberta was predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. Warner, on January 9, 1997 and her daughter, Lori Ann Empie on May 12, 2007.
Survivors include her son, Steven Warner of Richmondville; grandson, Zachary (Cheyanne) Empie and their son, Clayton Wyat Empie of Warnerville; son-in-law, Lee Empie III,; two sisters-in-law: Barbara Sutphen and Pat Proctor; and a brother-in-law, Everett Brooker.
A graveside service will be held at Lawyersville Cemetery at 10 AM on Saturday, August 27, 2016. Officiating will be Rev. David Houck of Christian Community Church of Faith in Richmondville. There will be no calling hours.
