Middleburgh: Gerard W. Bloemink, 79, of Pine Bush Road, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his home.
Gerard was born on February 16, 1934 in Manhattan to the late Marie (Fonte) and Moritz Bloemink.
He was a machinist by trade and worked at the Premier Metal Company in the Bronx. Gerard was formerly of the Bronx and upon retiring, moved to his weekend retreat full time.
He was a member of the NRA, enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing card games, shooting pool and spending time with his family.
Gerard was married to his beloved wife, Hildegard L. Bloemink, on January 18, 1958 until her death on June 23, 2007.
He is survived by his daughters: Suzanne Bloemink of Spring Hill, FL., Linda (Bruce Cain) Gannon of Middleburgh; son: Bruce Bloemink of New Windsor, NY; grandchildren: Lacey (Scott) Huth of Delmar, Katrina Gannon of Cobleskill and Michael Gannon of Melbourne, FL.
At his request, services will be private, at the convenience of the family. Cremation took place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady.
