Gerald E. Ladd

Richmondville- Gerald "Jake" E. Ladd, 76, formerly of Richmondville, died Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

Born November 15, 1945, in Corinth, he was the son of the late Harold and Frances (Scoville) Ladd.

Jake was a self-employed handyman who enjoyed fishing, lottery tickets and spending time with family and friends. He found pleasure in joining his friends daily as the "McDonald's Coffee Club"

Survivors include his two daughters: Tamara Hack of Rotterdam and her two daughters, Victoria and Deanna Hack and Tanya Riccio of Rotterdam and her son Greyson Riccio; two sisters: Alice Ladd of Hadley and Beverly Birch of Johnstown; four brothers: Harry Ladd, Ronald Ladd, Andrew Ladd all of Hadley and Robert Ladd of Schenectady and many nieces and nephews.

Jake was predeceased by his wife, Joyce and five siblings: George, Charles, Richard, Shirley, and Joyce all originally from Hadley.

A Celebration in Jake's memory will be held on Satuday, August 27, 2022 at the Saratoga County Park, North Shore Road, Hadley, NY from 2PM to 6PM.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org

Arrangements are entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
