Gerald Edward Hahn, 67, of North Street, Cobleskill, New York died Friday, July 24, 2026, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, following a lengthy illness.

Born on March 7, 1959, in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of Edward Hahn and Rita Klaptezky Hahn Kerrick. He was a graduate of Bishop Kearney High School in Rochester, NY. He attended SUNY Cobleskill for a semester and took various Air Force courses.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1978-1985 at Grand Forks Air Force Base and Plattsburgh Air Force Base, obtaining the rank of Sergeant.

Jerry worked for various construction firms and for NYS Office of General Services. He also helped build 5 Points Correctional Facility in Seneca Falls and the Federal Corrections Complex in Alexandria, LA.

He had been a resident of the Cobleskill area for the past 40 years.

He was an avid golfer, who enjoyed his trips to Pinehurst, NC. He loved to fish, whether it was in the family pond or on a beautiful trout stream. Jerry loved the Cleveland Indians and thoroughly enjoyed family vacations to Myrtle Beach.

On June 28, 1980, Jerry was married to Robin Collins.

He was predeceased by his father, Edward Hahn; mother, Rita Hahn Kerrick; and stepfather, Harry Kerrick.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Robin Collins Hahn of Cobleskill, NY; daughter, Brianne Hahn Slater and her husband, Phil Slater of Cobleskill, NY; son, Owen Hahn of Cobleskill, NY; grandson, Chase Slater; brother, Steven Hahn and Bonny of Arkport, NY; father-in-law, Samuel Warner of Cobleskill, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Services are private and will be held at the family's discretion.
