Mr. George H. Shannon, 68, of Robert Street, Richmondville, New York died Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his home.
Born on March 12, 1954 in Cambridge, NY, he was the son of Harold William Shannon and Doris Estelle O'Neil Shannon.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1975-1978.
George was a Plant Utility Manager for SUNY Cobleskill and for The Department of Health in Albany.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sweeney Shannon; sisters, Susan Rundblad of Decatur, NY, Peggy Tucker of Wells, VT; step-children, Angela Fedisin of Georgia, Michelle Hartmann of Florida, Joseph Mule´ of Virginia; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Burial will take place in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with Military Honors at a later date. In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will not be any public services.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
