George Robert Ray

George Ray was born in Cobleskill, New York on April 17th, 1952, to the late Harold Ray and Edna (Slater) Gorslin. He passed away November 3rd 2025, at Albany Medical Center.

George was a long-time member of the Cobleskill Fire Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved camping and fishing.

He is survived by the love of his life and long-time partner Alice Cutterback; his children Harold Ray, Georganna (John) King, Peter Van Echaute; his grandchildren, Breanna (Tom) Brownell, Brittany (Chris) Loiacono, Brayden Borggreen, Krissy Newman, Deanne Ray, Michael Ray, Jake Ray, Josh Ray, Presley Ray, Jaime (Chris) McHargue, Chris Jones, Gavyn Cutterback, Anthony Allee, Luciano Allee, Nikolas Allee, Drake Moore, Hanna ( AJ) Bartkowiak, Cole Moore, Paige Moore, Jordan Bowlin, Cody and Petey Van Echaute. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Taylor, Mya, Hontir, Kaelyb, Phoenix, Thomas, Hudson, Bentley, Elizabeth, Sveya, Aubrey, Peyton, Kayden, Jaxon and Liliana; siblings, Alfreda Van Echaute, Michael (Lisa) Ray, Walter Cutterback, Franklin Ray; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents; brother, Charles Cutterback; sister, Beatrice Eldridge; nephew, Donald Dawson Sr. and niece, Janis Madl.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life in Honor of George on Saturday, November 29th 2025, from 1 to 4 pm at the Cobleskill Fire Department. Family and friends are welcome.
