Middleburgh- Geoffrey A. Armlin, 18, of Armlin Hill Road, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at The Children's Hospital of Albany Medical Center in Albany after a courageous battle against Burkitts Lymphoma.
Geoffrey was born July 4, 1992 in Schenectady, NY, and was the son of Floyd and Tammy (Douglas) Armlin.
He graduated from Middleburgh Central School in June of 2010. He participated in Drama Club, Music Club and loved to be outdoors whether camping, caving or rock climbing. Whomever he met, Geoff always left a very loving and lasting impression on that individual. With all that Geoff has been through, his favorite saying was "Learn how to laugh when all you want to do is cry".
Surviving him are his parents, his twin brother, Jaron Armlin, other younger siblings, Jacob Armlin, Jonathan Armlin, Floyd Armlin III, and Jalynn Armlin, all of Middleburgh, his older sister, Rudy Allen of Junction City, KS, his maternal grandmother, Hilda Sylvester of Cossayuna, NY, his paternal grandmother, Mary (Robert) Curran of Middlburgh, numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and a vast amount of friends, and his very special longtime girlfriend of 2 ½ years, Victoria Robert.
Public visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 1 to 4 PM at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, NY. Burial will be private in Armlin Hill Cemetery.
Geoff's family wishes to extend it's sincere gratitude to the following; all Doctors, Nurses, and Support Staff at Children's Hospital for their superior care and emotional support; the disc jockeys and listeners at FLY-92 for all their prayers and well wishes which allowed us to become such a larger family; Ronald McDonald House of Albany for the comfort of having a home for our family when we needed it; the Administration, Teachers, Students, and Support Staff at Middleburgh Central Schools as well as the entire community of Middleburgh and surrounding areas for their continued support, we really do not know what we do without you all.
