Middleburgh- Gary C. Campbell, 59, of Gorge Road, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Gary was born on August 15, 1955 in Albany to Naomi (Belden) and Clifford W. Campbell.

He was a 1974 graduate of Middleburgh Central School and was lifelong Middleburgh resident who enjoyed a solitary life.

Gary was a machinist by trade and worked for several companies including General Electric, Altamont Metals, Fuez Manufacturing, McKenna Machine Shop, and most recently, Package One Industries in Schenectady.

Gary enjoyed fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and riding his Harley Davidson.

He was predeceased by his mother: Naomi Campbell in 2007.

Gary is survived by his father: Clifford W. Campbell of Middleburgh; sister: Cathy (Kim) Karsch of Middleburgh; brother: Richard "Rick" (Val) Campbell of Middleburgh; nieces and nephews: Kass Karsch, Chelsea Raye, Ryan Karsch, Jared Karsch, Emily Karsch, Tyler Campbell, Keith Campbell, Kelsey Campbell; aunts: Gloria (James) LaGrange of Berne, Audrey (William) Stumpf of Huntersland, Virginia Mann of East Berne; uncle: Arthur (Ella) Belden, Jr. of Middleburgh and many cousins.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Gary's life to be held from 2:00-5:00pm on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 222 Main Street, Middleburgh, NY 12122

Memorial contributions in his memory are asked to be sent to the Marathon for a Better Life, PO Box 268 Warnerville, NY 12187

Arrangements have been entrusted Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, Middleburgh and the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, Cobleskill.
