Middleburgh- Frederick (Fred) M. Reinhart, Sr., 75, of Clauverwie, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC following a long illness.
Born January 24, 1939 in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Derdilinghan) Reinhart. In 1969, he moved with his family to Middleburgh.
Fred was a lifelong active hunter and outdoorsman, with a love for golf. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1957 until receiving an honorable discharge in 1960.
He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus since 1974. Fred was also involved for many years with the Middleburgh Little League.
He retired from his banking career in 2001 where he was an executive vice president for the National Bank of Delaware County in Walton.
Survivors include his wife: Nancy (McEwan) Reinhart; six children: Joseph (Lauren) Reinhart of Schoharie, Frederick M. Reinhart, Jr. of West Fulton, Theresa (Ernest) Pricolo of Middleburgh, John (Amy) Reinhart of Middleburgh, Glenn (Paula) Reinhart of Middleburgh and Laura Anne Reinhart (John Michael Iseman) of Middleburgh; his sister: Marilyn (Lyle) Hobbs of Fort Collins, CO; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Our Lady of the Valley Church, Main St., Middleburgh with Father Thomas Holmes as celebrant. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 5 to 8 PM on Monday at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. Burial with military honors will follow mass at Stephentown Cemetery, Stephentown, NY.
