Richmondville- Frederick J. Anderson, 68, of Franzen Road, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at his residence with his loving family at his side.
Born March 7, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, Frederick was the son of George and Madeline (Reichle) Anderson.
He retired from Long Island Railroad where he was employed as an engineer. Following retirement, he moved to this area in 1986.
He was a communicant of the former St. Anna's Roman Catholic Church in Summit. Frederick was a life time member of the Richmondville Volunteer Fire Department and also a member of the Cobleskill Eagles Aeries #2695.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Regina (Platia) Anderson, whom he married May 23, 1981; two daughters: Lauren (Carl) Warner, Jr. of Richmondville and Cassandra Anderson of Troy; his sister: Dorothy (Frank) Reina of East Worcester; and two grandchildren: Emily Warner and Carl (CJ) Warner, III.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill with Father Edward Golding as celebrant. Burial will follow in Richmondville Rural Cemetery. Family and friends are invited also invited to a period of visitation from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM on Friday at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, NY.
