Frank Sirena, formerly of Port Chester, NY, died Thurs., Nov. 22, 2007 at Robinson Terrace, where he had resided since 1998.
Mr. Sirena was born on April 5, 1922 in Bari, Italy a son of the late Antonio and Giulia (Altomare) Sirena. He served in the Italian Merchant Marines from 1938-1945 before coming to America in 1946.
He worked in a bakery before becoming a mason and working with the Bricklayer's Union Local # 5 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mr. Sirena also helped construct portions of I-87 and I-287.
He is survived by his Daughters: Judy Sirena Summit, NY
Constance Sirena East White Plains, NY
Son: Frank Sirena, Jr. Milford, CT.
2 Grandchildren; a brother, Leonard Sirena of Port Chester, NY and
Several Brothers & Sisters in Italy
Several Nieces & Nephews.
Services will be private, at the convenience of the family. Cremation took place at the Vale Crematorium, Schenectady, NY. The Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home, Middleburgh and the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, Cobleskill are assisting the family with the arrangements.
