Frank W. Fuller, 90, of Cobleskill, NY, died Monday, March 24, 2025.
Born June 21, 1934, in Watertown, NY, he was the son of Glen and Grace (Kelley) Fuller. He grew up in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School. He then went on to graduate from SUNY College of Forestry, Class of 1954.
Following graduation, he worked for a short time for the US Forest Service on the Willamette National Forest in Oregon.
He was a veteran and served in the US Army. His enlistment was spent in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and a tour in Germany. He was honorably discharged.
Following his discharge from the Army he was immediately employed by the NYS Conservation Department as a Forest General Foreman, retiring in 1995 after over 35 years of service as General Manager of Forest Parks.
On March 3, 1962, Frank married Helen Brown Berard. Together they celebrated over 50 years, until she predeceased him.
Frank was active with the Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Exchange Club, Cobleskill Elks Lodge, and the American Legion Fred L. Stilson Post 57. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and his wife wintered in Florida for many years.
He was a member of the Cobleskill United Methodist Church.
Frank is predeceased by his wife, Helen Fuller; his sister, Glenda Kingston; his granddaughter, Jill Cobb; and his beloved dog, Jenny.
Frank is survived by his son, Jack (Susan) Fuller of Litchfield, NH; stepson, Jerry Berard of Cobleskill, NY; stepdaughter, Nancy (Ron) Laniewski of Cobleskill, NY; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Fred Fuller of Godfrey, Canada; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at noon at The Cobleskill United Methodist Church, Chapel Street, Cobleskill, NY. Burial will follow at Zion Rural Cemetery, Seward, NY with Military Honors at graveside.
