Middleburgh- Frances A. Paddock, 80, formerly of Middleburgh, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Baptist Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Scotia, where she had been a resident for a short time.
Born September 26, 1932 in NY City, she was a daughter of John and Gertrude (Doyle) Daniels.
She retired from the Middleburgh Central School where she had been a cook for several years. Frances was a member of the Middleburgh Golden Agers and enjoyed traveling. She was also a member of the Huntersland United Methodist Church.
Frances was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Paddock, Sr., who died Aug. 2, 2010.
Survivors include her three children: Pete (Caroline) Paddock of Middleburgh, Dorothy (Chris) VanValkenburg of Breakabeen, and Denise Kelly (Mark Conklin) of Middleburgh; her three siblings: Gertrude Passarella of Mineola, John Daniels of Middleburgh, and Joyce Makely of Apex, NC; eight grandchildren: David, Tonya, Rhonda, and Deidra, Mary, Jennifer, Erin, and Dillon; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Middleburgh Cemetery, New Section off Cotton Hill Rd., with Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be private.
