Frances Hillmuth

West Fulton- Mrs. Frances M. Hillmuth, 94, of West Fulton Road, died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Eden Park Healthcare Center in Cobleskill.
Mrs. Hillmuth was born June 19, 1911 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Morrison) Thomas.
Mrs. Hillmuth retired from the Pearl Assurance Company, where she was a secretary. She was a member of the Fourth Avenue Methodist Church in Broolyn. For 30 years she resied in Staten Island with her daughter and attended St. Andrew Episcopal Church where she was active in many of their organizations. In Nov. 2001, Mrs. Hillmuth moved to this area.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Charles Portius Hillmuth, Jr., who died July of 1969.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Joyce and David Paterson of West Fulton; a sister- Margaret Thomas of Brooklyn; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 28, at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm St. Cobleskill, with Rev. Neil Irwin of the West Fulton Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM, Tuesday, prior to the service. Burial will be private.
