Frances Frey

Summit/Sharon Springs-Frances B. Frey, 69, formerly of Summit and Marchand Manor, Sharon Springs, died Friday, December 25, 2009, at Robinson Terrace in Stamford, NY, following a brief illness.

Frances was born in Nyack, N.Y. on September 3, 1940, a daughter of the late Violet (Lenl) and Valentine Stokes. She worked at Toe Path Industries in Schoharie until retiring in 2005. Frances enjoyed singing and loved to watch television.

Frances was predeceased by her husband: Ernest D. Frey and her sister: Anna Marie Frey.

She is survived by her daughters: Cheryle (William) McGuire of Reading, PA., May Waid of Nassau, N.Y., Mary (Roger) Spaulding of Central Bridge, N.Y., Jean (Daniel) Crumb of Middle Grove, N.Y. and Edna (John) Sheldon of Nassau, N.Y.; her son: Ernest (Gretchen) Frey of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and dear friends: Mary Bowen and Charles Nikolaus of Summit, N.Y.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh with Rev. Donald Klob officiating. Friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held on Tuesday, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation will follow at Vale Crematory in Schenectady. Inurnment of cremains will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C., beside her husband.
