Middleburgh, NY: Ewald "Ed" Wurzer, 73, of Lower Rd., died Wednesday February 17, 2010 at his home, following a brief illness.
Ed was born in Austria on October 31, 1936 a son of the late Mariana (Sivec) and Thomas Wurzer.
Ed had resided in Queens, NY, prior to moving to Middleburgh 20 years ago. He was a self-employed carpenter most of his life and most recently worked in maintenance at the Iroquois Indian Museum in Howes Cave, NY.
Ed is survived by his wife, Deborah (Wieszchowski) Wurzer, of Middleburgh, NY, whom he married on June 6, 1992; his daughter: Audrey (Joseph) Rudyk of Germany; his son: Gordon (Leslie) Wurzer of Queens, NY; granddaughter: Sarah Rudyk; grandson: Thomas Wurzer; Stepdaughter: Kris (Vic) Jones of Schenectady, NY; Stepsons: Kevin (Lorraine) Rhodes of Amersterdam, NY, Robert Rhodes of Amsterdam NY and several relatives in Europe.
At the family's request, services will be private. Cremation took place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady, NY.
