Everett Lawyer

Cobleskill- Everett (Pete) Lincoln Lawyer passed away August 25, 2017 in Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown after a brief illness.

Born on May 25, 1937, Everett was the son of Raymond and Ruth (Van Auken) Lawyer. He graduated from Middleburgh Central School and served in the United States Air Force from 1959 until receiving an honorable discharge in 1960. Before his retirement, he worked for General Electric in Schenectady.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers: Harold (Bill) Lawyer, Thomas Lawyer and Gerald (Jerry) Lawyer, and his sisters: Violet Florio and Marilyn Whittaker.

Survivors include his sisters: Thelma Schick of Deansboro, Margaret Somers of Cobleskill, and Jeanette Lawyer of Garfield, NJ, special friends, Karen and Kenneth Baker and family, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at United Presbyterian Church, 314 Main St., Schoharie with Rev. Brandan Eddy officiating. Inurnment will be at the family's convenience in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
