Troy- Evelyn M. Gallup, 70, of Rosemary Drive, died Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany.
Mrs. Gallup was born January 4, 1936, in Warnerville, the daughter of Hiram and Marietta (Hellijas) Dauley.
She lived most of her married life in the Tri City Area and retired from Conrail in 1993 after 28 years of service. Mrs. Gallup was a member of the Red Hats Society of Schoharie County.
Survivors include her husband, Keith R. Gallup of Troy; 3 daughters: Barbara Craig of Victoria, MN, Janet Apple of Troy, NY, and Diane Klein of Oconomowoc, WI; a son, Richard K. Gallup of Feeding Hills, MA; 2 sisters,
Beverly Ide, of Texas, and Janet Handy of Richmondville; 9 grandchildren: Jeffrey Gallup, Casey and Cara Cambridge, Katelin Craig, Joshua and Justin Beach, James Apple, Kyle and Chelsea Rabideau; and 1 great-granddaughter: Isabelle Reese.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 6, at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm St. Cobleskill. Officiating will be the retired Rev. Warren Babcock. Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, at the funeral home. Spring interment will be in Summit Cemetery.
