Evelyn J. (Monton) Falsarella, 90, of Mickle Road, Sprakers, New York died Sunday, December 28, 2025.
Born and raised in Bergen County, NJ, she was the daughter of Joseph A. and Evelyn Marie (Schrieks) Monton. She attended St. Leo's Grammer School in East Paterson, NJ, graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Paterson, NJ, and attended Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ.
She worked as a bookkeeper.
On July 13, 1957, Evelyn was married to Frank Falsarella in St. Leo's Roman Catholic Church in East Paterson, NJ.
She lived in Paramus, NJ from 1957 until 1978, when the family moved to Sharon, NY.
Mrs. Falsarella was a member of the Sharon Springs Rescue Squad from 1979 to 1990, where she served as an EMT. She was also a member of the Sharon Springs 20th Century Club and served as President.
She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic Church in Cobleskill and served as Eucharistic Minister. She was professed as a Secular Franciscan in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Schoharie in October 1989.
She was proud to serve as a long time Town Justice for Sharon from 1990-2023. Evelyn belonged to the Schoharie County Magistrates Association and served as the President for several years. She was also a member of the NYS Magistrates Association.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank and son, Anthony.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Joe and Irene Falsarella of Sharon Springs, NY, Mary Lou and Randy Broadwell of Carlisle, NY; grandchildren, Joseph Falsarella (Holly), Ann Marie Falsarella (Chancey), John Falsarella, Schuyler Broadwell (Jordan), Julianne Broadwell (Tyler), Randi Broadwell (Kevin), Gene Broadwell (Olivia); 2 great-grandchildren, Nolan and Mya; and sister, Jo Mary Pescatore.
Evelyn made a kind and generous anatomical donation.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 12:00-1:00 PM at St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic Church, Washington Street, Cobleskill, NY 12043. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM at the Church with Father Joseph Arockiasamy officiating. Burial will take place in Slate Hill Cemetery at a later date.
