Eugenia L. “Jeannie” Clark passed on November 22, 2024, at 94 ½ years old. She was born on June 25, 1930, in Gloversville, NY to parents, Eugene and Mary (Savarese) Frascatore and grew up as one of nine children. She met her husband, Maynard, in Gloversville, NY in drum and bugle core and married in 1957.
She lived in Cobleskill (village of Warnerville) since 1969 with her husband, Maynard and children, Michael and Barbara “Barbie” and the much-loved family dog (6 in total over the years). She enjoyed her family, attending her children’s events, traveling and outdoor activities including gardening and skiing (both X-country & downhill). She treasured her beloved family dogs and making memories with annual family summer vacations especially the unforgettable summer of 1976 when the family packed into their station wagon and journeyed across the United States, marveling at the country’s landmarks and creating memories to last a lifetime.
She was quite memorable with a whistle as she was frequently recognized around town for being an Aker School playground monitor prior to working in the Admissions Department at SUNY Cobleskill until her retirement in 1990. Upon retirement, she enjoyed traveling to see the world with Maynard and visiting her grandchildren. She also fulfilled her love of animals by volunteering with the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, including being on the Board of Directors.
She is predeceased by her parents and 6 siblings, Rosie, Lucy, Esther, John, Alfonso & Louise: husband, Maynard Clark, and great-grandson, Theo Beckett Clark.
She is survived by her children, Michael and Barbie Clark; grandsons, Tyler and Kyle Clark, Nathaniel, Evan and Spencer Fuller; great-grandson, Lucas Clark and sisters, Michelena and Leona Frascatore.
A period of visitation will be held on from 10AM to 11AM on Wednesday December 4, 2024, at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 138 Washington Ave, Cobleskill, NY. The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following at 11am on Wednesday and then inurnment in Mount Carmel Cemetery, State Highway 29, Johnstown, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeannie’s honor to the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, PO Box 40, 304 Howes Cave Road, Howes Cave, NY 12092.
