Schenectady- Ethel Dauley-Walsh, 84, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was the daughter of John and Margaret (Gifford) Dauley.
Ethel was raised in Richmondville and resided in Schenectady for most of her adult life. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who loved to be with her family and enjoyed cooking. She will be dearly missed. Ethel worked for St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady until her retirement in 1992
She is survived by five daughters; Phyllis (Anthony) Gallione, Charlene (Sam) Monaco, both of Schenectady, Darlene (Wiley) Shedina of Guilderland, Diane Mitchell and Suzanne (Michael) Almond, both of Schenectady, four sons; John (Bette) Walsh of Charleston, Ronald J. (Maureen) Walsh, Glen Walsh, and Thomas Walsh, all of Schenectady, one sister; Marion Hagadorn of Dorloo, as well as 25 Grandchildren and 28 Great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, June 20, 2011 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY with the Rev. James Bookout of The Bridge Christian Church officiating. The public is welcome for a period of visitation two hours prior to the service from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in Summit Cemetery.
