Middleburgh- Mrs. Ervilla F. McMillen, 87, formerly of Middleburgh, died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at The Pines at Catskill where she had been a resident for the past year.
Born December 5, 1921 in the Town of Broome, she was the daughter of Isaac and Helen (Stannard) Armlin.
Ervilla was a lifelong area resident and enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
She was a member of the Breakabeen Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Clifford McMillen, predeceased her in 1946, and she was also predeceased by her companion of many years, Charles Redling.
Survivors include her son, Isaac McMillen and his companion, Patricia Smith, of Prattsville; her daughter, Ellen (Terrance) Dubois of Prattsville; two brothers: Kermit Armlin of Middleburgh and Ronald Armlin of Edgewater, FL; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Breakabeen Presbyterian Church, Clauverwie Road, Breakabeen, with Rev. Carol Coltrain officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Armlin Hill Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
