Warnerville- Eric J. Laubmeier, 82, of State Route 7, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, PA.
Born April 7, 1931 in Brooklyn, he was the son of Joseph and Theresia (Obermaier) Laubmeier.
Eric was a 1949 graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School and furthered his education at Cornell University for a year. He then studied agricultural business at SUNY Cobleskill.
Eric was a dairy farmer all his life, working the family farm. He was also a school bus driver for Cobleskill Central School District and retired from SUNY Cobleskill where he was a herdsman.
He loved people and animals, especially the many dogs he had over the years. Eric was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cobleskill.
Survivors include his brother: Albert (Becky) Laubmeier of Perkasie, PA; three nieces: Pamela (Christopher) DeLuca of Mechanicsburg, PA, Susan (Dan) Gallagher of Perkiomenville, PA, and Jennifer Laubmeier of Perkasie, PA; one grand-nephew: Ryan DeLuca of Mechanicsburg, PA.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill with Father Jeff L'Arche as celebrant. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6 to 8 PM Fri. at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
