Schoharie- Eric N. Armlin, 94, of Sunnyside Road, died peacefully Friday, October 23, 2015 in the loving care of his family.
Eric was born in the Town of Broome on June 1, 1921 to Clara H. (Wittig) and William I. Armlin.
He attended Middleburgh Central School and worked as a laborer, retiring after thirty years with the Laborer's Local # 157 in Albany.
Eric worked many odd jobs as a handyman in Florida for the next twenty years and took great pride in raising pineapples in Edgewater.
He enjoyed playing cards, especially pitch and pinochle and he loved his family.
Eric was predeceased in 2008 by his wife, Rose (Taibbi) Armlin, whom he married on February 26, 1944. He was also predeceased by his daughter: Qwen; sister: Bertha; brothers: Merrill, Dutch and William I.
He is survived by his daughter: Dianna (Jesse) Polak of Schoharie; brother: Quintin Armlin of Schenectady; granddaughters: Tammy Polak (Anthony Diecidue) of Middleburgh, Raquel (Jeff) Keller of Schoharie; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately, at the family's convenience. Inurnment will take place in Armlin Hill Cemetery.
