Emmett Weaver

Cobleskill- Emmett F. Weaver, 77, formerly of Sharon Springs and Cobleskill, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Robinson Terrace in Stamford, NY after a long illness.

Mr. Weaver was born November 14, 1931 in Gilboa, NY and was the son of Harry and Harriet (Becker) Weaver.

He was a retired dairy farmer, farming first in Schoharie County, then to Richfield Springs and finally in Sharon Springs for 30 years as well as a self-employed Mack Truck driver. He moved to Cobleskill in 1998.

Mr. Weaver is survived by his wife of 57 years, Esther (Hoyt) Weaver, whom he married on June 29, 1952, 3 daughters, Sandra Welles of Janesville, WI, Cynthia (Tim) Davis of Fairbanks, AK, Terri (Jim) Smullen of Carlisle, NY, 2 sons, Rick (Lindy) Weaver of Pleasant Valley, NY, Kyle (Pam) Weaver of Middlesex, VT, 8 Grandchildren, Bradly (Priscilla) Weaver of Pleasant Vally, NY, Amanda Weaver of Poughkeepsie, NY, Todd Davis of Fairbanks, AK, Brittany (John) Petty of Fort Irwin, CA, Kate Smullen of Canton, MA, Ed Smullen of Carlisle, NY, Kody and Kyler Weaver of Middlesex, VT, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY with the Rev. Donald Klob officiating. A period of visitation will be held at the Funeral Home from 10-11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
