Emma P. Tenblad, 95, formerly of Middleburgh, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at Woodbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Tampa, Fl.
Miss. Tenblad was born on February 2, 1915, in Middleburgh, NY, a daughter of the late Flora (Laraway) and Gus Tenblad. She graduated from Middleburgh Central School and lived in Middleburgh until moving to live with her sister in Florida, 8 years ago.
After graduating from the New York State College for Teachers in Albany, NY, in 1935, Miss Tenblad taught business at the former Cobleskill Central School until retiring in 1970. She was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association and the Schoharie County Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Middleburgh, NY.
Miss Tenblad is survived by her sister, Marion Fanning of Tampa, FL., her niece Patti Ford of Tampa, FL, her nephew Fred Fanning of Louisiana and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 13, 2009, in the Middleburgh Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
