Emma Annis

Emma Jean (Wright) Annis, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

She was born on April 16, 1933, in Sharon Springs, NY and was the daughter of the late Sidney C. Wright and Mildred (Cole) Wright.

She graduated from Sharon Springs Central School in 1950.

She was the wife of Clayton C. Annis, who predeceased her.  Emma was also predeceased by a son, Joseph S. Annis; two sisters, Virginia Roberts and Ruth Skowronski; and five brothers, Sidney Wright, Jr., Fred Wright, David Wright, Donald Wright, and William Wright.

She is survived by three sons, James H. (Cathie) Annis III, Jeffery H. Annis, and John R. Annis; a daughter, Janet (Randy) Burka; a sister, Martha Goldswer, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, with Pastor David Houck officiating.  Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM on Sunday.
