Middleburgh: Emily K. Rorick, 94, of Straub Lane died Sat. March 3, 2007 at her home.
Mrs. Rorick was born on Feb. 28, 1913 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late August and Catherine Meckel. Mrs. Rorick was employed at Kresge's department store in Brooklyn, before moving to Middleburgh and opening the Greenpoint Farm boarding house on Rte. 30 between Middleburgh and Schoharie. Mrs. Rorick was a communicant of St. Catherine's Church, Middleburgh NY. Mrs. Rorick was married on July 27, 1940 to Clarence E. Rorick. They were married for 65 years, before he predeceased her on April 8, 2006. She was also predeceased by 4 brothers and her Aunt, Emily Horn who raised her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tues., Mar. 6, 2007 at 10:45 A.M. at St. Catherine's Church, Main St., Middleburgh, with Father Thomas Holmes as celebrant.
