Middleburgh- Mrs. Elva A. Buschynski, 90, of Middleburgh, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Oneonta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident for the past four years.
Born January 18, 1920 in Patria, NY, she was a daughter of Frederick and Elsa (Moeller) Bohringer.
Mrs. Buschynski was a graduate of Middleburgh Central School. She became employed at Farm Security and later was a legal secretary for the Judge F. Walter Bliss.
Mrs. Buschynski was active in the bowling leagues in Cobleskill, enjoyed gardening, tole painting and crafts.
Her husband, Joseph Buschynski, whom she was married to for fifty-eight years, predeceased her on April 22, 2004.
Survivors include her children: Joseph (Anne) Buschynski of Dover Plains, NY, Brenda (William) Wright of Cobleskill, and Thomas (Kathy) Buschynski of Middleburgh; a sister: Jean (Robert) Bruce of Owego; two sisters-in-law: Helen Wardwell and Rose (Charles) Warner, both of Edgewater, FL.; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in Middleburgh Cemetery with Rev. Carol Coltrain officiating. Friends are also invited to a period of visitation that will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tues., May 18 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh.
