Ellen Cooper

Sharon Springs- Ellen P. Cooper, 73, of Rowlands Way, died Saturday August 16, 2014 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown with her loving husband at her side.

Ellen was born on March 19, 1941 in Orange, NJ to Rose (Brophy) and Raymond Donovan.

She graduated from the Bayley Ellard High School in Madison, NJ and was a homemaker.

Ellen enjoyed reading, listening to Christian music and was a member of the Rose of Sharon Church of God.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Thomas F.W. Cooper, of Sharon Springs whom she married on April 18, 1964; daughters: Ellen Marie Cooper of Rochester, Sharon (Christopher)Edwards of Pennsylvania; sons: Joseph Cooper of Mainesburg, PA, Patrick Cooper of Nashville, TN; grandson: Patrick Neal Cooper of Memphis, TN; six siblings-in-law and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Bishop Fred E. Jones of the Rose of Sharon Church of God will officiate. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service, from 6 to 7pm. Inurnment will be private. Cremation took place at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
