Elizabeth A. Patterson, 83, of Little York Road, Cobleskill, New York died Friday, December 26, 2025, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.
Born on August 21, 1942, in Cobleskill, NY, she was the daughter of Wanda (Smith) Myers. She was a graduate of Richmondville Central School, Class of 1960. She was a lifelong resident of the local area. She grew up in Richmondville and moved to her residence in 1969.
Elizabeth was fun-loving. She affectionately answered to Liz, Mom, Nanny, and Lizzo. She loved to bake and was very well known for her chocolate Jumbos and Chex mix. She was a giver and always gave with her whole heart, never expecting or wanting anything in return. She loved camping, Bingo, bowling, crafts, baking, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She waitressed at several local restuarants. She also worked for P&C Food, Wohl's Department Store, Sossei and Sons, Cobleskill Welding, Bowling Alley, and TAS.
On August 4, 1963, in Richmondville, NY, Elizabeth was married to Robert W. Patterson. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2022. She was also predeceased by her mother, Wanda Myers; brother, Robert Probst; and sister, MaryJane Rowe.
She is survived by her children, Bobby (Shelly) Patterson, Donny (Caryl) Patterson, Sandra Rotolo (Howard Hotaling); brother, David (Sharon) Probst; 7 grandchildren, Laura Diamond, Nicole Rotolo, Trisha Rotolo, Jake Patterson, Kyle Patterson, Sarah Patterson, Katryna Lawyer; 3 great-grandchildren, Emily Reber, Cassondra Diamond, Lily Lawyer; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 11:00-12:00pm at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY 12043. A memorial service will follow at Noon with Rev. Ray Richards officiating. Burial will take place at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery at a later date.
