Middleburgh: Elizabeth A. McCormack, 87, of Main Street, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 at her daughter's home in Amsterdam where she had lived the last couple of years.

Elizabeth was born on January 16, 1924 in Manhattan, NY, a daughter of Rose (Reilly) and James M. Vann.

Elizabeth grew up and lived in North Babylon for most of her life.

She was employed at the Pilgrim Psychiatric Hospital in Brentwood, NY as a Mental Hygiene Aide before retiring and moving to Middleburgh.

Elizabeth was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Middleburgh and had recently attended St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Hagaman.

Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. McCormack on February 6, 2000.

She is survived by her daughters: Anne (Notaro) McCormack of Middleburgh, Susan (Roth) McCormack of Amsterdam; son: Thomas J. (Lois) McCormack, Jr. of Lawyersville; grandchildren: Kimberly A. Notaro, Gary Notaro, Robert Roth, James Roth, Daniel Roth, Emily Roth, Elizabeth A. McCormack-Berry, Jennifer McCormack-Wrubel, Thomas J. McCormack,III and 9 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 51 Pawling St., Hagaman, NY with Father Marty DeRose as celebrant. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. Cremation will take place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady and inurnment of Elizabeth's cremains will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
