Dorloo- Mrs. Elizabeth Harragan, 82, of State Route 165, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at her residence following a brief illness.
Born March 3, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of Frank and Jennie (Portoghese) LaRocca.
Mrs. Harragan married George A. Harragan on January 22, 1955 and they moved to this area in 1959. She was employed as a seamstress for VanDeusen Dress Factory until her retirement. Mrs. Harragan had participated in the Senior Citizen Bowling league for twenty years. She had also been a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cobleskill.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, George A. Harragan of Dorloo; her three children: George A. Harragan of Cherry Valley, Debra Harragan, and Catherine (Max) Rua of Cobleskill; one sister and two brothers.
Private services will be held for the family at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill with Sister Connie James officiating. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Catskill Area Hospice Palliative Care, 795 East Main St., Suite 11, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
