Cobleskill- Mrs. Elena C. Mauro, 96, formerly of Cobleskill, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Otsego Manor, Town of Otsego, NY.
Mrs. Mauro was born April 24, 1912 in New York City, the daughter of Vincenzo and Carmela (Palladino) Massimino.
She retired from Ronkonkoma Wallpaper of Long Island, NY, where she had been a secretary for many years. She and her husband moved to Cobleskill in 1991 and had resided at Early Woodland Apartments.
Mrs. Mauro was of Catholic Faith.
She was married Angelo J. Mauro on Feb. 15, 1942, and he predeceased her on June 1, 2004.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Alexander J. and Dorothy Mauro of Worcester; her grandchildren, Edwin J. Mauro and Nicole E. Mauro; and a sister, Tina McNeil of Centereach, Long Island.
A private graveside service will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Saratoga.
