Eleanor Foland

Schoharie- Eleanor "Jum" Ruth Foland, 72, of Katie Lane, passed away Friday, April 14, 2006 at home surrounded by her family, after a long illness.
Mrs. Foland was born January 6, 1934 in Schoharie, the daughter of the late Deforest and Martha (Borst) Lamont.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers: Maurice Lamont and Orsen "Jim" Lamont; 4 sisters: Marion "Brownie" Munzo, Marlene Rowlison, Margaret Little, and her twin sister, Elenora "Sam" Lawrence.
She loved to play guitar, sing, and laugh. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Cobleskill.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Clarence Robert Foland, whom she married January 5, 1952; he daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and John Somma of Middleburgh; 3 grandchildren: Robert Foland of Middleburgh, Tina (Charles) Hotaling of Cobleskill, and Rebecca (Donald) Ferry of Schenectady; 2 great-grandchildren: Desyree Rashell Hotaling and Johnathan David Ferry.; 2 sisters: Lucy (Keith) Foland of Schoharie, and Joan (Jim) McGrath of Long Island; 3 brothers: John (Patricia) Lamont of Acra, Floyd Lamont and Willard (Kevin) Lamont, both of Schoharie; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 19, at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh, NY. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
