Middleburgh- Eileen McKeon (nee Bohan) died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 after a short illness.

Born November 20, 1923 to the late John and Helen Bohan, Eileen resided in Nanticoke, PA until moving to New York in the early 1940s. Eileen worked as a receptionist at The City Squire in Manhattan. She moved to New City, NY in the 1970s with her husband, Frank, whom she married in 1949. In August of 1998, Eileen moved to Middleburgh, to be closer to family and this is where she resided until her death.

Eileen is survived by two daughters, Eileen (Robert) McGrail of Middleburgh, and Margaret Sestrom of Waterford, CT. She has one living sister, Helen Smith of Nanticoke, PA and a sister- in-law, Ceil Bohan, also of Nanticoke, PA. She has three grandchildren: Kerri (Scott) Harrington of Oneonta ; Joe (Maria) McGrail of Middleburgh; and Jon (Tiffany) Sestrom of Waterford, CT. Eileen also has six great-grandchildren: Meghan and Addison Harrington of Oneonta, and Connor, Coby, Logan and Hadley Sestrom of Waterford, CT. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Eileen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Francis; her brothers Joseph and John (Das) and a grandson, Bobby McGrail.

A period of visitation will be held Thursday, May 1 from 4-7pm at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 2, 2013 at Our Lady of the Valley Church, Main St, Middleburgh with Father Thomas Holmes as celebrant. Burial will be at the Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Middleburgh Emergency Volunteer Ambulance Corps, PO Box 817, Middleburgh, NY 12122.
