Cobleskill- Edward E. Mrozik, Sr., 68, of Barnerville Road, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at his residence.
He was born May 21, 1939 in Manhattan, the son of Stanley and Caroline (Pezonowski) Mrozik.
Edward was retired from the New York City Police Department, where he was an officer for many years. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving from 1957 until 1961 when he received an honorable discharge. He was a member of the American Legion.
Edward and his wife, MaryLou, moved from Florida to this area in 1992.
Survivors include his wife, MaryLou (Anemone) Mrozik, whom he married July 19, 1957; a daughter, Mary Ann Desantis of Albany, 3 sons: Edward E. Mrozik, Jr. of Westport, NY, Jody Mrozik of Frankfurt, Germany, and Jason Mrozik of Guilderland; 3 sisters: Stella Apostolos of San Francisco, CA, Jean Bull of Key Largo, FL., and Irene Nichols of Miami, FL; and 10 grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM ( Noon) on Friday, June 29, at St. Vincent de Paul Church 138 Washington Ave. Cobleskill, with Father Thomas Holmes as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
