Cobleskill- Edward J. Fountain, 71, of North Street, Cobleskill, New York died unexpectedly Friday, June 23, 2023 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Born on March 26, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Edward A. Fountain and Rosa Maria Fountain. He was a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill, earning his Associate's degree.
Edward was a sales representative for Lord & Taylor in Albany until his retirement.
He loved to play guitar. He enjoyed drawing and playing video games with his grandchildren.
On October 25, 1997 in Jefferson, NY, Edward was married to Roberta Campbell.
His father, Edward A. Fountain; and father-in-law, David Campbell predeceased him.
Edward is survived by his wife, Roberta Fountain of Cobleskill, NY; mother; Rosa Maria Fountain; step-children, Elizabeth Deming and George, Camille Hunt and Joseph, Toman Gorsin and Kelly; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; 3 brothers; 1 sister; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family with interment taking place in Middleburgh Cemetery.
