Edward Becker Jr

Seward- Edward C. Becker, Jr., 55, of Clove Road, died Monday, November 17, 2014 at Albany Medical Center due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle/pedestrian accident.

Born January 1, 1959, he was the son of the late Edward C. Becker, Sr., and his mother, who survives, Margaret (Nirschl) Becker.

Ed was a 1978 graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School and was a farmer all his life. He began his career on the family farm, Triangle Farm, and most recently work the Tissiere Farm.

He was an avid hunter and was a collector of toy farm equipment, especially tractors. Ed was also a member of the Lawyersville Reformed Church.

Survivors include his three children: Edward C. Becker, III (Christina Snider) of Belmont, NC, Kesha Becker of Kannapolis, NC, and Brandy (David) Buchannon of Gloversville; his mother: Margaret Becker of Hyndsville; his sister: Christine Hibbard of Cobleskill; his brother: Arnold (Donna) Becker of Euless, TX; three grandchildren: Bentley Parkus, Tiffani Buchannon, and Jason Becker.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the Lawyersville Reformed Church, 4957 State Route 145, Cobleskill, NY. Inurnment will be in Zion Rural Cemetery, Seward. There will be no calling hours.
